Financial Aid

ESCC offers students a variety of financial aid programs聽based on financial need, academic record, or a combination of factors. Financial Aid programs聽 include:聽federal and聽state聽grants;聽 work-study opportunities; and scholarships funded by local organizations, individual donors and聽the聽麻豆视频 Foundation.

Note: ESCC does not offer Federal or private student loans and, for this reason, does not provide loan counseling.聽 However, a trained and qualified financial aid counselor is available to all students at ESCC.

Complete the FAFSA

All students must apply for financial aid every year. Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) allows you to be considered for federal, state, and local financial aid programs. File a FAFSA as early as possible, applications received and completed early will be considered for the maximum amount of grant aid.

Please note: Financial Aid will continue to be offered after the priority date. However, certain grant aid may be limited, and your aid may not be awarded prior to the start of class.

The Virginia Application for Student Aid (VASA) allows eligible Virginia residents who do not qualify for FAFSA to be considered for state and local financial aid programs.

The Virginia Application for Student Aid (VASA) allows Virginians who are nonimmigrants, undocumented, have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status or are otherwise ineligible to file the FAFSA and would like to be considered for state financial aid. The VASA application provides access only to state financial aid.

The ESCC Foundation will only accept online scholarship applications through our . The system will match applicants with eligible scholarships.

All scholarships available at the college, including the Johnsen Presidential Scholarship and all general scholarships, will be matched with eligible students who have completed the application.

Important note:

Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester to be eligible for any ESCC Foundation scholarships. Please note that scholarships are awarded on a 鈥渇irst come first served鈥� basis meaning that the sooner students apply, the better chance they have to receive an award. However, students may still apply online throughout the year.
